Today I want to talk to you about having the right people in your team when real estate investing. In a recent transaction I hired a new solicitor to handle the conveyance of the property for me.

At the start it became aware that we did not have a good relationship with each other, mainly because we didnt know each other. This put immediate pressure on me. And at times made the whole process totally uncomfortable. I love investing so I want to enjoy all parts of it.

The company that I normally use for real estate investing, went out of conveyance section for a short period of time. But prior to me doing this transaction they had contacted me to say that they were going to handle the conveyance again.

When they did call me up I thought at the time they were a little bit expensive. But through this transaction I thought back to the previous company that I was using.

How they would always call me up, they would always prioritize the timing of all aspects of the transaction, at times I thought they must never sleep. Then it occurred to me this is what I was paying them for. They are a critical part of your real estate investing team. The sale I have just done was a great deal, but it was soured a little by being charged default interest , because of an extension on

So my point here is set up a good relationship with your solicitor or conveyance team. You will need them for other things down the track as well. Quite often things, they dont charge you for. Take the time to get to know them and it will pay off for you. We will talk later about other people you need in your real estate investing team later.
